Management Opportunities

Swing Manager

This role is the gateway to other management level positions within our organization. Swing Managers are primarily responsible for managing people, product and equipment to execute outstanding Quality, Service, Cleanliness and Value on all assigned shifts. The responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Shift preparation
  • Labor planning 
  • Crew positioning
  • Food safety
  • Food quality (both raw and completed)
  • Shift control
  • Customer service 
  • Quality control
  • Organization and cleanliness
  • Travel paths
  • Communication
  • Profit controls – waste, labor, yields, cash control 
  • Safety and security
  • Enforcement of labor laws
  • Crew training and on the spot corrections

Second Assistant Manager 

Second Assistant Managers are responsible for executing outstanding Quality, Service, Cleanliness and Value while assisting the General Manager with overall restaurant operations. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Shift Management – Maintaining critical standards for product quality, service speed and quality, cleanliness and sanitation and food safety
  • Developing and training crew and hourly management
  • Controlling assigned profit and loss line items
  • Ensuring all safety and security procedures are executed
  • Executing basic people practices to ensure that a respectful workplace exists in the restaurant
  • Completion of assigned responsibilities
  • Sets the example in the areas of professional appearance, attitude and dependability
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills

First Assistant Manager 

First Assistant Managers are responsible for assisting the General Manager in executing all aspects of restaurant operations. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Shift Management – Maintaining critical standards for product quality, service speed and quality, cleanliness and sanitation and food safety
  • Developing and training crew and hourly management 
  • Ensuring all safety and security procedures are executed
  • Demonstrating and reinforcing the leadership behaviors and basic people standards necessary to gain commitment from crew and other shift managers
  • Recruiting, staffing, scheduling and retaining employees with the authority to hire, discipline and terminate employment when necessary
  • Building sales and controlling profit to deliver optimum business results for all areas of accountability. 
  • Ensuring that a respectful workplace exists in the restaurant
  • Completion of assigned responsibilities
  • Sets the example in the areas of professional appearance, attitude and dependability
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills

General Manager 

The General Manager is responsible for executing all aspects of restaurant operations. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

Developing, training, and supervising a management team that includes assistant managers and swing managers

Demonstrating and reinforcing the leadership behaviors and basic people standards necessary to gain commitment from the management team and crew

Ensuring the restaurant has effective programs for: 

  • Safety and Security 
  • Food safety
  • Training
  • Restaurant Maintenance 
  • Recruiting, staffing and training 
  • Measuring external customer satisfaction and executing plans to increase brand loyalty and build sales
  • Build and maintain a local store marketing plan to reinforce ties with the community and enhance customer relations
  • Projecting and controlling accurate profit and loss line items
  • Ensures that the restaurant has effective communication practices in place 
  • Daily communication
  • Regular meetings for management and crew o Performance Reviews for all employees 
  • Administering all in-restaurant records and procedures including benefits, payroll, inventories, and employee personnel files
  • Ensuring that a respectful workplace exists in the restaurant
  • Sets the example in the areas of professional appearance, attitude and dependability

Crew Opportunities

McDonalds crew members create Big Macs and other delicious products; keep the restaurant sparkling clean; and help customers with orders through the kiosks, drive-thru, front counter, McDelivery and our online app. Job duties include but are not limited to: 

  • Taking customer orders and cashiering on front counter and drive thru 
  • Assembling orders and serving to customers 
  •  Maintaining cleanliness of the dining room – cleaning tables and seats, sweeping and mopping, maintaining restrooms, removing trash 
  •  Cooking and bagging French fries 
  • Cooking beef and chicken products 
  • Assembling sandwiches

Staff Opportunities

Maintenance Worker 

McDonald’s maintenance workers keep buildings in clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as filtering oil and cleaning fryers, scrubbing floors and removing rubbish. Duties may also include: Performing routine maintenance activities, unloading trucks, organizing stock and outside cleaning.
